So we’re already into the fourth quarter of 2009. ‘Twill soon be the end of the first decade of the second millenium. This doesn’t half make it sound solemn and historical.
But what does that have to do with the afternoon of Saturday 5 September? With the sound of the kettle boiling, Maggie (our youngest) barking at nothing, Min (the older mastiff kid) snuffling at my feet, a Cape robin chirping outside? Oh and all the squeeks coming from a newly arrived creature, Sokule (many emitted by yours truly).
It’s all just perspective isn’t it? Fingers on the keyboard; these words appear; another two minutes pass into the oblivion of the ages.
Every day is as rich a you allow it to be, of course. This Saturday has been gardening on a soft spring morning, many hours at the computer, and, wait for it — a simply incredible new Web application from that well-known genius Jeff Long.
Instant Capture Page (ICP) is quite the best application I have seen for ages. It allows you to set your own lead capture (or squeeze page, or opt-in page) on any Web page, whether you own it or not. For instance, this includes social network sites such as Face Book and Twitter! In the case of Twitter, ICP is inherently viral. I’ve been having extreme fun testing the system this afternoon, and shall gallop back to it right now.
